I found these great salts through a fellow blogger over at The Novice Chef Blog. I was blessed, to ask for and receive a box containing not less than 22 of their uniquely seasoned sample packets. I was so overwhelmed when I opened it up and saw all of them spilt out on my counter. I had no idea where to start or what to do with some of them. So I did what all of us should do, I consulted their Salt Guide. It is a comprehensive guide on all things salt related. From Harvested vs. Mined salt to Unrefined and Kosher salts. I haven't yet made it through all the sample packs they graciously sent me, however I have managed to whittle it down quite a bit! My favorite so far is.....well, uh....I don't have a favorite yet. I must say I am anxious to try the Truffle Wet Salt and the Fumee De Sel. I have acquired a taste for mushrooms, after abstinence from them as a child, and they are popping up in a lot of my dishes as of late. I have heard great things about Truffles and (knowing I can't afford them) this will probably be the closest I come to their mysterious flavor.
